FSSI delivers courses that have been developed to meet the needs of those who are working, or want to work, in the booming social service industry, in particular the aged and disability sectors.

In 2019 we are offering the following courses:

(CHC33015) Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged and Disability)

Our new program has been co-designed and developed in close collaboration with industry employers, experts by experience, and students, to ensure is is delivered in the most effective and engaging way.

Starting out in your career? This 12-month certificate provides the entry-level qualification for those interested in working in aged care or supporting those with a disability. FSSI’s scholarships cover all course and amenity fees, plus the first aid qualifications and a police check, which are workplace requirements.

(CHC43115) Certificate IV Disability

Already working or volunteering in disability? This certificate will allow you to take your career to the next level. It involves regular networking with others working in the disability sector and links theory to workplace practice via engaging workshops and workplace visits. Assessment will be by RMIT staff.

Leadership Intensives

In a senior role in family violence prevention and response or related area? The small group intensives will enable you to develop advanced leadership and management skills, with sessions tailored to meet the needs and learning styles of participants.
