Every morning at our FSSI Team check in meetings, one of the Team gives an Acknowledgement of Country. We would like to share with you an Acknowledgement given by Matthew Ledwich, one of FSSI’s Social Work Placement Students.
I would like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we gather today, which for me is the Wurrandji Willam people, and I would like to pay my respects to their Elders past and present. I would like to acknowledge the change that is required and that sovereignty was never ceded. I would also like to extend that respect to any Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples here today and to their elders past and present.
